Making a difference: our January 2025 figures

3rd February 2025

In January 2025, we distributed a total of 547 food parcels, with 40% going to children.

Each emergency food parcel we provide contains three meals a day for three days, for each family member – meaning we provided 4,923 meals in just one month:

  • Total parcels distributed: 547
  • For adults: 330
  • For children: 217

We provide more than food

Our food parcels can be a lifeline for those struggling to afford the essentials, especially in January, with high energy bills and the impact of Christmas spending. Our food parcels also contain other items such as pet food, baby food, nappies and hygiene products.

We work closely with referral agencies and support organisations, using insights from food voucher distribution and food bank visits to connect people with vital services that can help with issues such as debt, housing, caring and health.

A Citizens Advice Adviser now attends our Chichester food bank sessions and offers remote support across the district.

We also value feedback from those who use our services, providing various ways to share experiences. Listening helps us advocate for real change.

Your support makes all the difference

As we work towards a future without the need for food banks, we rely on your generosity to continue supporting those in crisis. There are many ways you can help:

How to support us

– Donate – Food, toiletries, or financial gifts are all essential.
– Volunteer – We urgently need more volunteers; your time and compassion make a real difference.
– Fundraise or collect: Organise a food drive or event at your school, workplace, or in your community.
– Spread the word: Share our mission on social media to help us reach more people.

Together, we can create change. Thank you for your continued support. Find out more about how you can support us here.
