Get support from Connor, our Citizens Advice Adviser, at Chichester food bank sessions.

13th January 2025

We’re pleased to welcome Connor, our new Citizens Advice Adviser to Chichester District Foodbank. Connor provides tailored, compassionate support at our Chichester food bank sessions to individuals facing food insecurity. He offers advice on welfare benefits, housing, debt management, employment rights, immigration and more, empowering clients to improve their circumstances and achieve greater stability.

Connor is available at the food bank’s 21 Orchard Street centre in Chichester during sessions on:

  • Mondays (2–4 pm)
  • Wednesdays (2–4 pm)
  • Fridays (4–5 pm)

He is also available at our Selsey food bank centre at Selsey Methodist Church every other week on Fridays (10am – midday). If you live in the Midhurst or Petworth areas, please contact us at [email protected] or on 01243 773 687 for support over the phone, online or occasionally in person.

You don’t need a food bank voucher to access support from Connor – just drop in and have a chat. If you do require a food bank voucher you can get one from our referral partners – more details here.

Connor told us: “As a local resident, I’ve always admired the food bank’s work in supporting our community. I’m passionate about helping others, especially those in vulnerable situations, and I’m excited to expand the food bank’s services to make a lasting impact.”

Before joining the food bank, Connor worked as a Homeless Support Worker at Safe Haven Sussex CIC in Brighton, providing vital assistance to vulnerable individuals. With a background in welfare support, immigration advice, and community outreach and a foundation in psychology and counselling, he brings a wealth of experience to his role.

In his free time, Connor enjoys traveling, learning, socialising and dining out with friends and family.

Connor has already become an integral part of our team, assisting people in finding the extra support they require to avoid depending on the food bank in the future.
