Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
Please see below for our latest volunteer opportunities:
Warehouse Van Driver volunteers
At the moment, we particularly need additional van drivers to help pick up food from the locality and delivery food to our distribution centres. You would need to be available on a Monday once or twice per month. A typical shift is from 8.00am – 1pm, occasionally going on to 3pm in the winter
In order to volunteer for this role, the volunteer needs to be able to lift at least 10kg and hold a clean driving licence.
Warehouse Van Helpers
We have vacancies on a Monday morning to help collect donations from the locality. A typical shift is from 8.15am – 1pm, occasionally going on to 3pm in the winter.
In order to volunteer for this role, you will need to be able to lift at least 10kg.
If you are interested in volunteering for either of these roles, please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
