WEST SUSSEX
EVENTS VOLUNTEER
By volunteering as an events volunteer, you will help support the running of the food bank in a range of flexible and rewarding ways. You will be helping with a variety of events around West Sussex that are diverse and key to supporting those in poverty. By helping with events, you can make a real difference to people’s lives providing vital help and support in your local community.
Food banks organise and run a variety of events such as Seasonal one-off events, regular supermarket collections, manning food, and money collections at different events: such as Carol services, gigs or a number of community-based events, driving our van and picking up collections and other events that are key to foodbanks thriving.
Helping with events can be a great way of volunteering if you work full time or do shift work, or aren’t available to volunteer on a regular basis, as some of these events are one off event and some are outside of regular working hours.
