Donate food

Over 90% of the food distributed by food banks in the Trussell network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are vital.

Your donations allow us to continue giving everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three-day supply of food and other essentials. Without your good will, we would really struggle to operate.

What to donate

Please check our list of urgently needed items. We update this every week and also post it on our social media accounts.

  • Please only donate items that are in date and unopened. Due to “Natasha’s Law”, we are unable to take any items without an ingredients list.
  • We also accept essential non-food such as toiletries, washing powder, nappies, sanitary products and pet food.

BanktheFood is a free app that updates you about items Chichester District Foodbank needs while you shop. Download the app and follow our food bank and you’ll receive notifications with our most-needed items when you enter a supermarket with a donation point. Download the app here.

If you would like to donate money specifically for food, you can contribute through our partner, Bankuet. This allows us to buy what we need, when we need it. You can give a one-off donation or set up regular contributions from £10, directly supporting those in crisis.
