Our mission to support those facing food insecurity is as important as ever. From April to October 2024, we’ve seen a 3% increase in food parcels distributed compared to last year, reflecting the ongoing need for Chichester District Foodbank’s services in our community.
With Christmas approaching and demand for our help growing, your support becomes even more meaningful. Thank you for being there for those who need it most.
October 2024 figures:
– Adults fed: 300
– Children fed: 187
– Total people fed: 487
In October, we provided 4,383 people with three days’ worth of meals through our emergency food parcels.
More than meals
Each food parcel means more than just meals; it’s a source of stability and relief for people during challenging times. Alongside essential foods, we also include items like toiletries, nappies, and pet food to help meet a range of needs.
Community support matters
Our work is possible thanks to the generosity of our community. Donations, volunteer time, and every effort, big or small, are vital to the support we provide.
Ways to help:
– Donate: Food, toiletries or financial contributions – all are needed.
– Volunteer: We’re in urgent need of volunteers to join our team; your help goes a long way.
– Fundraise or host a collection: Organise a food drive or event at your school, workplace, or community group.
– Spread the word: Encourage others to support our mission by sharing our social media posts. It’s a simple yet effective way to help us reach more people!
