Flipping sucess!

16th February 2024

Tuesday 13 February, Chichester District Foodbank celebrated its much-anticipated Flip Fest to make sure that families on low incomes could enjoy Shrove Tuesday without financial burden and we’re thrilled to report that it was a resounding success! Our community came together for a morning filled with joy, laughter, and, of course, pancakes. From the craft activities that sparked creativity to the friendly pancake flipping competition, the morning was a testament to what we can achieve when we come together.

The Flip Fest saw an amazing turnout, with people of all ages joining in the fun. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the pancake flipping competition, where local children showed off their skills, flipping pancakes to perfection. It wasn’t just about the competition; it was about sharing smiles and making memories.

But the fun didn’t stop at pancake flipping. Our craft activities were a hit, providing a space for creativity and relaxation. Children and adults alike took part, adding an extra layer of community spirit to the day.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers and generous donors, attendees enjoyed a selection of delicious pancakes. Whether they preferred them sweet or savory, there was something for everyone. The shared meals not only filled our stomachs but also warmed our hearts.

The Flip Fest was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and the joy that arises from joining together in support of a good cause. It was an event that went beyond just flipping pancakes; it was about nurturing connections, building friendships, and strengthening our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and contributed to making the Flip Fest a success. Here’s to many more events where we can come together and make a difference.
