Celebrating a generous donation from The Hygiene Bank & Smol

8th May 2024

Last week, Chichester District Foodbank was fortunate to receive an extraordinary donation of 431 kilograms of washing capsules from The Hygiene Bank and Smol. This incredible contribution translates to 981 packs, equating to roughly 10,080 wash loads, providing essential support to families in need across our community.

While food remains a critical need for those we serve, the importance of cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products is often overlooked. These items are vital for maintaining health and dignity but can be a significant financial burden for families struggling to make ends meet.

We are immensely thankful to The Hygiene Bank and Smol for their generosity. Their donation not only helps ease the daily challenges faced by many but also highlights the ongoing need for such essential supplies. It’s a powerful reminder of the difference that every donation can make.

However, the need for support doesn’t stop here. We continue to rely on the kindness of our community to keep providing these essential services. There are several ways you can help:

  1. Drop off donations at local collection points: We welcome donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. Locations can be found here.
  2. Amazon wishlist: For ease and convenience, consider purchasing items from our Amazon wishlist. These purchases are delivered directly to us and go straight to supporting those in need.
  3. Financial contributions: Monetary donations are incredibly impactful, allowing us to allocate resources to areas of greatest need. Every donation helps us to continue our work and expand our services. Find out more here.

Chichester District Foodbank is committed to supporting our community members in every aspect of their lives, not just through food but also by ensuring they have access to other necessities like hygiene products.

Thank you once again to The Hygiene Bank and Smol for their support, and thank you to everyone who continues to contribute to our mission. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those facing hardship.
