We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported Chichester District Foodbank at events across the district this summer.
Together, you helped us raise over £5,000, which will go towards running our food bank services and supporting local people and families who are struggling to afford everyday essentials, from Selsey and Chichester to Midhurst and Petworth.
We’ve loved being part of so many community events and meeting the people who stopped by to say hello, buy a tombola ticket or make a donation. A special thank you goes to the organisers who welcomed us along:
- Bosham Inn Summer Social
- Bourne Quilters Quilt Show
- Cheese & Chilli Festival
- Chichester Emergency Services and Community Day
- Chichester Gala
- Petworth Fete in the Park
- Southbourne Parish Council’s Sussex Day Fete
- St Wilfrid’s Hospice Choir & All Sing Choir
We’re also grateful to the organisations who hosted us and supported our fundraising in other ways, including those who ran their own collections and fundraisers for us.
Thank you too to the local businesses and attractions who donated prizes for our tombola, including Allan's, Amberley Museum, Austens of Petworth, Bear of Petworth, Bignor Roman Villa, Black Horse Inn, Cherry's Deli, Chichester Festival Theatre, Continues Arcade, Co-op - Petworth, Deja Vu Hairdressers, Fishbourne Roman Palace, Fishers Farm Park, Hennings Wine, Kamsons Pharmacy - Pulborough, Maggie & Belle, Manor Nursery, Marks & Ayling, Mystique Masala restaurant, New Park Cinema, Oak Apple, Petworth Cobbler, Petworth Newsagents, Petworth Pharmacy, Sainsbury's - Pulborough, Sorella, Spriggs Florists, Stonemasons Inn, Swan Inn, Fittleworth, Tallulah Fox, The Badgers, The Greenhouse, The Novium Museum, The Old Railway Station, Tiffin Tea Rooms, Weald & Downland Living Museum, West Dean Gardens, Wild Republic, Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust.
And of course, we couldn’t have done any of this without our brilliant volunteers, who gave their time to attend the events, run the stalls and chat with our community.
We really appreciate the support you’ve shown us. It makes a huge difference and helps us continue to be there for local people when they need us.
We have one more event this summer: Noddy Fest on 5 September. We’ll be there with another fundraising tombola, so please come along, say hello and grab a ticket or two if you can. We’d love to see you there!
