By joining our food bank, you become part of a team of people who care deeply about ending poverty in Chichester District and helping people access the support they deserve beyond emergency food.

Our small staff team and more than 200 dedicated volunteers work together to support people across our community. The staff team is responsible for the day-to-day running of the food bank, from overseeing operations, managing our building and warehouse, and coordinating food donations, to supporting community outreach, rural food bank hubs, communications, fundraising and local partnerships.

Alongside them, our volunteers play a vital role in everything we do. They help pack food parcels, make deliveries, collect donations from supermarkets, support events and connect people with wider services. Together, our staff and volunteers make sure food, care and practical help reach people when they need it most.

Fundraising & Partnerships Manager

Chichester District Foodbank is recruiting a Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to lead and develop our fundraising activities, helping secure sustainable income and support the long-term future of the charity.

The role involves identifying and applying for grants, building relationships with local businesses and community organisations, organising fundraising campaigns and events, and developing relationships with individual donors. You will also work closely with our CEO and Board of Trustees to develop a longer-term fundraising strategy.

Key details

• Salary: £20,159 per year (£33,599 full-time equivalent).
• Hours: 22.5 hours per week, across 3 days, with flexible working hours.
• Location: Unit 10, Chichester Trade Centre, Quarry Lane, Chichester, PO19 8ET.
• Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays (pro rata).
• Pension: 3% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution.

Skills and experience

We're looking for someone with fundraising experience across areas such as grant writing, corporate partnerships and community events. Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

A compassionate approach and commitment to tackling poverty and supporting people experiencing hardship are also important.
