Chichester District Foodbank launches Parcel of Hope Christmas appeal for 2025

4th December 2025

This year has shown us just how powerful our community can be, and we are incredibly grateful for the support you’ve given. As we head into the colder winter months, many families across Chichester District are feeling the strain of rising living costs, at a time of year that should be full of warmth and joy. Your compassion can make a meaningful difference.

That’s why we’re launching our Parcel of Hope Christmas Appeal: to ensure that people in our community not only receive emergency food when they need it most, but also the practical support that helps them face life’s wider challenges. If you’re able, we’d love you to consider supporting the appeal this Christmas.

A gift of £30 can provide a family with three days’ worth of food and essential items, along with practical support during difficult circumstances. And thanks to an incredibly generous local supporter, every pound donated – up to £5,000 – will be matched, doubling the impact of your gift. Every contribution, no matter the size, truly makes a difference.

Our work extends far beyond food. In our appeal video below, you’ll hear from Charlotte, who came to the food bank expecting only emergency supplies, but instead found compassionate, practical support that helped her navigate challenges in other areas of her life. You’ll also hear stories of hope read by our volunteers—powerful reminders that any one of us may find ourselves needing help.

By donating or sharing our appeal, you can help us provide not just essential food, but kindness, dignity and real, practical support to those who need it most.

Thank you for helping us bring hope and stability to families across Chichester District this Christmas.

With warm wishes
The Chichester District Foodbank Team
