We’re delighted to be hosting a Creative Writing for Wellbeing taster session at Chichester District Food Bank this May, delivered in partnership with the University of Chichester.
As part of the National Year of Reading, this relaxed and welcoming session is designed especially for people who have used our food bank’s services and would like to explore creative writing in a supportive, pressure-free environment.
- You don’t need any experience, you don’t need to worry about spelling or grammar, and you don’t need to aim for perfection.
- Whether you’ve never written creatively before or you’re simply curious to try something new, you’ll be very welcome.
You’ll be gently guided through a range of creative approaches, such as short reflections, fast fiction, or even autobiographical writing. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace and choose what feels right for you.
The session will be led by Dr Suzanne Joinson, Creative Writing and Co-Academic Lead in English and Creative Writing from the University of Chichester, alongside a supportive university team.
Together, they’ll help you
The first session will take place on:
- Thursday 14th May
- 1:00pm to 3:00pm
- Chichester District Foodbank, Unit 10, Chichester Trade Centre, Quarry Lane, PO19 8ET
Refreshments will be provided.
