Introducing Think Thursdays and Tea, Toast, Talk: new groups at Chichester District Foodbank

30th July 2025

Here at Chichester District Foodbank, we’re more than just food – we’re a community. We’ve been listening closely to the people who use our services, including our Stand Stronger Together group, to understand what matters the most.

That’s why, starting this September, we’re launching two brand-new, completely free groups at our Chichester centre! These welcoming sessions are designed to help you build confidence, grow your skills, get support, and connect with others – all in a relaxed, friendly space.

Thank you to all the incredible local organisations who are donating their time and expertise to our community.

Think Thursdays – learn, create and thrive

Join us for mood-boosting mornings with creative activities like art workshops and pilates. Afternoon sessions will help to build confidence, support wellbeing, and learn budgeting basics – plus, get a certificate on completion!

Morning sessions (10.30 – 11.30am): creative & mindful activities. These sessions are one-off tasters, so you can book the ones that interest you. Spaces are limited, so booking is essential.

  • 2 Oct: Pilates & JournalingStudio 44

Afternoon sessions (12.00 – 3.00pm): 5-week structured course.

This five-week course includes four sessions delivered by Functional Skills UK, with a certificate awarded on completion. The final session focuses on budgeting and money management, delivered by CAP Money Coaching. To get the full benefit, we ask for a five-week commitment.

  • 4 Sept: Enrolment sessions at 10.30am
  • 11 Sept: Confidence and self-esteem
  • 18 Sept: Mental wellbeing
  • 25 Sept: Healthy living
  • 2 Oct: Understanding stress & stress management techniques
  • 9 Oct: Budgeting with CAP Money Coaching

Tea, Toast, Talk – every Friday

12 September – 12 December (9.30 – 11.00am) – drop-in, no booking required

Join us at our Chichester food bank centre for a cuppa, a slice of toast, and a friendly chat. Local organisations will be on hand to offer support for life’s everyday challenges, including Social Prescribers and Citizens Advice. We’ll also have NHS health checks.

A relaxed, no-pressure space to talk, connect, and feel supported.
