How Chichester District Foodbank can support families this Easter

10th March 2026

If you’re worried about having enough food for your children during the Easter holidays, our friendly team is here to help.

We know that the two-week Easter break can bring extra financial pressure for families. With children at home all day, food bills can rise, and finding free ways to keep them entertained can stretch already tight budgets.

Here’s how Chichester District Foodbank can support you:

Food for the whole household – each parcel includes three days’ worth of emergency food for every member of your family.

Extra essentials if you need them – we can also provide items such as nappies, toiletries, hygiene products and pet food.

Ongoing support – if you continue to need help, you can receive up to six food parcels within a six-month period.

Convenient collection points – collect from our Chichester foodbank centre three times a week or from Selsey Methodist Church once a week.

Delivery for rural communities – if you live in the more rural northern areas of the district, including Midhurst and Petworth, we can arrange delivery.

Help beyond food – we can connect you with local services for further support and advice if you need it.

Free groups and workshops – anyone is welcome to join, whether you need a food parcel or not. These friendly sessions are a great way to meet others, learn new skills and support your wellbeing. Find out more here.

How it works:

To access support, please you’ll need to contact one of our referral partners:

Help Through Hardship
📞 0808 208 2138

Chichester District Council
📞 01243 785166

A referral partner will chat with you about your household, including how many people live with you, any dietary needs, pets, or other support you might need. Once that’s done, if you’re in Chichester or Selsey, you’ll be able to collect your parcel for one of our weekly sessions:

  • Chichester: Unit 10, Chichester Trade Centre, PO19 8ET. Monday (2 – 4pm), Wednesday (9.30 – 11.30am), Friday (4 – 6pm)
  • Selsey: Selsey Methodist Church, High Street, 62-64 High Street, PO20 0QJ. Friday (10am – midday)
  • If you live in Midhurst or Petworth, we’ll contact you to arrange delivery of your parcel.

If the Easter holidays are putting pressure on your finances, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help.
