Building a future without hunger – how your business can make a difference for local people

19th February 2026

At Chichester District Foodbank, we see firsthand the impossible choices people face every day – paying rent or buying food, heating their homes or getting to work. Last year alone, we provided over 6,000 emergency food parcels and offered practical, compassionate support to local people across the district in Chichester, Midhurst, Petworth and Selsey.

This vital work is only possible thanks to the generosity of local businesses. Every donation helps provide not just food but hope and practical support when it’s needed most to people in our local area.

Join our new Corporate Partnership Programme

Launched in 2025, our Corporate Partnership Programme is a meaningful way for your business to support our community while engaging your teams.

Here’s how it works:

  • Sponsor a minimum of 10 emergency 3-day food boxes (£30 per box). Your business can make a tangible difference by donating or fundraising to provide food and practical support to local people in crisis.
  • Hands-on involvement. Bring your team to our warehouse to sort food, pack boxes, and see firsthand the impact your support has.
  • Make a meaningful difference. Your contribution helps local people access food and vital support while strengthening connections between your team and the community.

We’re keen to develop more relationships with more local businesses this year, so whether it’s your first time supporting a foodbank or you’re looking for a new way to get involved, now is the perfect opportunity to join.

Celebrating our corporate supporters

Businesses already supporting us show the range of impact possible. Kingsbridge raised £18,000 during their anniversary year, Seaford College Community fundraises throughout the school year, and Volker Highways and Wixroyd Group have contributed both volunteering hours and financial support. Your business could be part of this too.

Your impact goes beyond food

Thanks to the generosity of our corporate partners, we can do far more than provide emergency food. Everyone who comes to us for food also receives a compassionate chat with our team, who can help guide them to our strong network of support partners who often come to our foodbank sessions too. From debt issues, job loss, health issues or caring support, we know someone who can help

Through our Beyond Food: Stronger Futures programme, which includes workshops and community groups, we support people to build skills, confidence and connections.

By supporting our food bank, your business is helping local people not just today, but giving them the tools and support they need to work toward a future where they no longer need emergency food.

Voices from our partners

Our partners’ experiences show just how meaningful corporate support can be:

“Our team had a fantastic day volunteering to pack Kids Lunch Packs. It was humbling and reminded us of the real difference the foodbank makes. We were proud to donate £1,500 and look forward to supporting them more in the future.”

Emma Stander, Social Value Co-Ordinator, Volker Highways

“Joining the Corporate Partnership Programme gave our team a hands-on experience we’ll never forget. Packing food parcels and seeing the difference we could make reminded us why community support matters so much.”
