Match My Project success: thanks to Hyde and partners, we’re enhancing our services

At Chichester District Foodbank, we’re incredibly grateful to Hyde and all businesses who have supported us through Hyde’s Match My Project programme. Their generosity has helped us turn our new warehouse into a more welcoming, functional and supportive space for everyone who walks through our doors. 

Thanks to Hyde’s commitment to connecting us with businesses ready to make a real difference, we’ve been able to carry out vital improvements that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible – from physical renovations to providing equipment for cookery workshops.

Here’s just a snapshot of what this support has helped us achieve: 

• PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited: provided paint materials, which we used to transform the rooms where we meet and support our clients. These spaces now feel far more inviting and uplifting

• Alphatrack Systems: provided the materials for us to build staff areas within our warehouse, giving our team and visitors private, comfortable spaces to meet and work.

• Ian Williams Ltd: helped fund cookery equipment so we could launch a series of cookery workshops. These helped our food bank clients build confidence in the kitchen, learn how to prepare healthy meals on a budget, and discover practical ways to save money.
   
• CLM Fireproofing: funded heating equipment for our client waiting area which means that those waiting for support can stay warm and comfortable during the colder months. Thanks also to Yesss Electrical who provided the heaters at cost price.

Over the past year, we’ve provided food parcels to 6,206 people, with 38.5% for children. These figures highlight just how essential our services are for those struggling to afford the basics.

Thanks to Hyde and partners, we’re able to continue offering not just emergency food, but also a welcoming space to offer people the support they need to address the underlying reasons they turn to us for help.
