1,848 Kilos of food collected at Tesco to support those in need

4th December 2024

We’re delighted to share that during our recent Tesco collection from 28-30 November, we gathered an incredible 1,848.50 kilos of food – the equivalent to 4,621 meals!

Winter is the busiest season for us, as rising energy bills and the added costs of Christmas put extra strain on those already struggling to make ends meet. Your generous support truly makes a huge difference.

Tesco also kindly provides a financial donation based on the weight of food collected, meaning every item donated had an impact. We’re deeply grateful for your generosity.

We welcomed Jess Brown-Fuller, our Liberal Democrat MP for Chichester, who joined us to lend a hand, learn more about the operations of our food bank, and help raise awareness of both our Tesco collection and the food bank as a whole.

A sincere thank you to our incredible volunteers and the Kingsbridge team, who managed the collection table, handed out food lists, transported donations to our warehouse and shared valuable information about the food bank with Tesco shoppers.

Thank you so much to all our supporters for making the festive season brighter for those struggling to afford the essentials.
