World Parkinson’s Day

11th April 2024

11 April marks World Parkinson’s Day, and it’s a key time for us at Chichester District Foodbank to boost understanding and support for Parkinson’s disease.

This day is all about rallying for better treatments, sharing uplifting stories, and standing strong with those battling Parkinson’s.

Living with Parkinson’s can be tough, with folks facing hurdles like shaky movements and stiff muscles, which can mess with daily life and feelings of well-being.

Make It Blue for World Parkinson’s Day, from lighting up buildings to dyeing your hair. From hosting blue bake sales to wearing blue for a day. Visit Parkinson’s UK to download their ‘Make It Blue’ guide full of tips and advice to help you plan the best World Parkinson’s Day yet.

We’re all about community support here, and we believe that by sticking together, we can make a big difference for those affected. Let’s spread the word!
