Calling all our incredible Chichester District Foodbank volunteers! We’ve got an exciting line-up of summer events, and we’d love for you to be a part of them. It’s your chance to make a difference, meet new people, and have a ton of fun along the way. Here’s what’s coming up:

  • Asda Supermarket Collection Day on Friday 19 May: Help us encourage Asda (Selsey) shoppers to donate, turning an ordinary shopping trip into a lifeline for those in need. Shifts are short, 1.5 hours from 9am-4:30 pm, so you can pick what works best for you.
  • Cheese & Chilli Festival at Oaklands Park: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June, 10am-1:30pm Spice up your weekend by helping with our tombola at this vibrant festival. Shifts are available from 10am.12pm or 12pm-1:30pm.
  • Chichester Gala Event on Saturday 29 June: Join us for a gala day in the city, with a stand, Tombola, and the chance to chat about our cause. Or, shake a bucket and spread the word in town. Shifts are flexible, ranging from 10:30am-4:30pm.
  • Petworth Fete in the Park on Saturday, 29 June, 11:30am-5pm. Dive into community fun at Petworth, assisting with our popular tombola. Shifts are split into 11:30am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-5pm so you can enjoy the event while you’re there.
  • Bosham Fete on Saturday, 13 July, 2pm-4:30pm. A classic fete where we would love for you to assist us with the tombola and share stories from the Foodbank.

These events are not just about raising funds and awareness; they’re about coming together as a team, enjoying the camaraderie, and having a blast while we do it. Plus, you never know who you’ll meet or the impact you’ll make just by being there.

If you’re ready for some fun-filled volunteering, please let Marie know your available times and call 0776 591 5357 or email [email protected]. Remember, your enthusiasm and dedication are what make these events so special. Let’s make this summer unforgettable, for both our community and ourselves! See you there?

If you can’t make it, you can still help! Do you have any unwanted gifts gathering dust? How about an extra bottle of wine or a hamper that’s too good to sit on a shelf? We’re on the hunt for these items, along with decorative wrapping and baskets, to use for our raffle prizes and fundraising events.

We can turn your generous donations into prizes for our raffles and events!

Please contact [email protected] or call 0776 591 5357 if you can help.
