Celebrating National Pie Week with Chichester District Foodbank

4th March 2024

National Pie Week is upon us, and at Chichester District Foodbank, we’re embracing the spirit of this delicious week! Running from 4 March to 10 March, it’s a time when pie lovers across the nation celebrate the joy and comfort that comes from a good pie. But here at the foodbank, we see it as an opportunity to highlight how every tinned pie contributed can bring warmth and support to those in need within our community.

The power of pies

Pies have a special way of bringing people together, symbolising home, warmth, and care. This National Pie Week, we want to extend that sense of comfort to everyone in our community, especially those facing tough times. Whether it’s a savoury pie packed with nutritious vegetables and meats or a sweet pie that brings a smile to someone’s face, every donation helps.

Get involved

We’re inviting everyone to join us in celebrating National Pie Week by donating pies to the foodbank. Here’s how you can get involved:

Donate a tinned pie

Drop off store-bought pies at our foodbank locations, see list here.

Can’t make it in person? Consider donating via our website, where we’ll use the funds to purchase pies and other essential food items. You can even donate via our Amazon Wishlist and have pies delivered directly to our warehouse, choose to subscribe and save and send donations monthly.

Spread the word

Use social media to encourage friends and family to participate in National Pie Week by donating pies to Chichester District Foodbank.

Every pie makes a difference

Each pie donated is more than just a meal; it’s a gesture of kindness that can make a significant difference in someone’s life. As we celebrate National Pie Week, let’s remember the impact we can have by coming together to support our neighbours in need.

Join us in making this National Pie Week meaningful by contributing to the Chichester District Foodbank. Together, we can ensure that everyone in our community has something warm and comforting to enjoy.
