Family fun at our autumn event in Selsey

We enjoyed hosting a family-friendly autumn event at our Selsey food bank site this week. Families gathered at Selsey Methodist Church to create tasty, healthy snacks, decorate cakes, and get creative with pumpkin designs.

While some children receive free school meals during term time, we know that school holidays can be a costly time. We understand the value of offering free activities for local families, so over the past year we’ve held family-friendly events throughout the Chichester District, in Midhurst, Petworth, Selsey and Chichester. These events have given families space to connect and take part in arts and crafts activities whilst demonstrating that healthy food can be affordable and tasty too!

We’d like to say a big thank you to our wonderful volunteers, Steph and Claire, for leading a fun wrap-making workshop, and to Colin, Carol, and David from the Selsey food bank team for their warm welcome and invaluable help.

Both children and parents have left us some heartwarming messages and we’re delighted that our family-friendly events have been such a success.
