Help us make a difference this Christmas: Support Our Kids’ Lunch Packs

As the festive season approaches, Chichester District Foodbank is already hard at work planning our Christmas Kids Lunch Packs. Our goal is to make sure that no child in our community goes hungry during the holiday break. This year, we aim to create over 1,000 lunch boxes, each filled with a ten-day supply of lunches and additional store cupboard essentials. But we can’t do it alone, we need your help!

To meet our ambitious target, we anticipate needing around 12.5 tonnes of food, that’s 12.5 kilos per box! This is where we need your help.

How you can get involved:

Donate food

We rely on the generosity of our community to fill these packs with nutritious food. You can donate directly to our foodbank, participate in a food drive, or order items from our Amazon Wishlist.

Donate financially

Each lunch box costs approximately £35.15. A financial contribution can help us cover the costs and ensure every box is filled.

Host a collection: Organise a food collection at your school, workplace, or community group. Collect food to fill a specific number of boxes. For example, you could aim to supply the contents for 25 boxes.

Join a packing day

We need volunteers to help pack these lunch packs. Whether you’re an individual or part of a corporate group, your time and effort will make a significant impact.

Corporate packing days:

If your company is looking for a meaningful team-building activity, consider joining us for a corporate packing day. It’s a great way to give back to the community while working together with your colleagues.

By helping us create these Kids Lunch Packs, you’re not just providing food, you’re giving families peace of mind during the holidays. Together, we can ensure that every child has a happy and healthy Christmas.
