Stand Stronger Together is back for 2025

7th January 2025

Stand Stronger Together is a weekly community event at our Chichester food bank centre, designed to offer more than just food – it’s a welcoming space where people can gather, connect and receive support in a relaxed, friendly setting.

Run by our Campaigns Coordinator, Keely, the group takes place every Tuesday during term-time and provides a valuable resource for those navigating the challenges of everyday life.

What to expect

Each session is thoughtfully designed to create a supportive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Here’s what makes this group special:

  • Shared, healthy lunch: Enjoy a tasty, nutritious group meal, usually prepared by our wonderful volunteer, Denise.
  • Community connection: Meet and share experiences with local people facing similar challenges.
  • Support and advice: Access practical help and guidance in an informal, no-pressure environment.

At the last session of every month, we introduce a guest from one of our partner organisations, such as Citizens Advice, Supporting You or Samaritans. There are no formal presentations – just friendly chats, offering guidance, practical help and encouragement.

Our group actively contributes to shaping the creative activities they engage in, such as crafting, painting, and baking. We’ve also organised ‘Fix-it-for-Free’ sessions, providing practical advice on repairing minor clothing issues.

Support available from Jan to March 2025

We’re pleased to announce some of the confirmed support agencies for 2025:
