Making a difference: September 2024 figures

1st October 2024

As we continue our mission to support those facing food insecurity in our community, our September figures highlight the ongoing need and the crucial role Chichester District Foodbank plays in providing essential aid.

September 2024 statistics:

– Adults fed: 287

– Children fed: 206

– Total people fed: 493

In September, we provided 493 people with three meals a day for three days through our emergency food parcels, resulting in a total of 4,437 meals distributed.

Beyond the Numbers

These numbers represent more than just the meals we distribute; they reflect the lives we impact. Each food parcel symbolises a lifeline for those grappling with difficult circumstances, offering them a sense of stability and hope.

Nutritional support and care

Our emergency food parcels are thoughtfully assembled to provide balanced nutrition. They include a variety of non-perishable food items designed to ensure recipients receive three nutritious meals per day over three days. We also provide other essentials if needed, such as toiletries, nappies, laundry powder and pet food. This immediate support helps families and individuals focus on overcoming challenges without the added worry of hunger.

Community collaboration and gratitude

The work we do is made possible by the unwavering support of our community. From donations of food and money to the dedication of our volunteers, every contribution is critical. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support that enables us to continue making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
