Impacting lives with essential support

11th July 2024

At Chichester District Foodbank, we are committed to providing essential support to those in need within our community. Our latest statistics highlight the critical role we play in helping individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Recent statistics:
  • Foodbank vouchers issued: 186
  • Adults fed: 293
  • Children fed: 184
  • Total people fed: 477

This means that 477 individuals received three meals a day for three days from our emergency food parcels. In total, we provided an astounding 4,293 meals!

These numbers reflect more than just meals; they represent the lives impacted and the hope provided to those in crisis. Each meal is a step towards stability and a reminder that our community cares.

Our emergency food parcels are designed to provide balanced nutrition and essential support during times of need. These parcels include a variety of non-perishable food items, ensuring that recipients have enough to eat for three days. This immediate relief allows individuals and families to focus on overcoming the challenges they face without the added stress of hunger.

Our work is only possible thanks to the incredible support from our community. From donations of food and funds to the tireless efforts of our volunteers, every contribution makes a significant difference. We are deeply grateful for this continued support, which enables us to reach so many people in need.

Your support is crucial in helping us meet this growing demand. Here’s how you can help:

  • Donate: Contributions of food, toiletries, and financial donations are always needed. We are always looking for ways to make donating easier and more convenient. You can now donate via our Amazon Wishlist with regular or one off donations delivered directly to our warehouse.
  • Volunteer: Join our team of dedicated volunteers. Your time and effort can make a huge difference in someone’s life.
  • Fundraise or host a collection: Get involved and host your own sponsored activity or your own collection at your school, church or business.
  • Spread the word: Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to get involved and support our cause.

Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no one in Chichester District goes hungry.
